Hello! My name is Carter.

I'm a 17 year old high-school student who has had a passion for computer science since I was 7. I love working on full-stack applications and APIs, as well as operating systems, compilers and computer graphics. I'm looking towards a career in backend software development after college.

What to know about me

• I love creating and playing music! I produce music using Bitwig Studio with a launchkey mini. I've also been playing the Viola in my high-school orchestra since 6th grade. If you've never tried freestyling piano melodies, try it; it's extremely therapeutic. If you don't know what you're doing, just press the black keys until you have something that sounds interesting.
• I never actually went into systems development until I was 15. The majority of the time I've been programming was spent making "sketches" in JavaScript. You can see my early projects on my Khan Academy page
• My favorite types of games are roguelites and survival ones. To name a few of my favorites: Valheim, Dead Cells, Factorio, and Slay the Spire.
