ProtestUSA

ProtestUSA (protestusa.com) maps protests across the United States: where people are protesting, what about, and how it went.

The data: more than 200,000 protests since 2021, from the Crowd Counting Consortium’s public research data, plus upcoming events organizers list publicly. You can filter by issue, place and date, and the raw data is free for researchers. Firsthand reports: people who were there can say what happened, including crowd size, police presence and photos. Moderators review every report before it goes up. Organizing: a public forum for each protest, city and issue.

No ads, no trackers, no investors. We don’t sell data, and we collect as little as possible: no real names, no IP logs, and phone numbers are never stored. That only works if the people who use it pay for it.

What your donation pays for: the server, the domain, verification emails and texts, and storage for photos and video. Every cost is listed publicly at protestusa.com/support, so you can see exactly where the money goes.

Donations aren’t tax-deductible. Thank you for keeping it running.
